NHL Unites — where hockey’s heart meets its purpose. This is more than a platform; it’s a movement that brings the game we love beyond the rink and into the communities that fuel it.
The National Hockey League is a professional ice hockey league in North America comprising 32 teams—25 in the United States and 7 in Canada. It is considered to be the top ranked professional ice hockey league in the world, and is one of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada. The Stanley Cup, the oldest professional sports trophy in North America, is awarded annually to the league playoff champion at the end of each season.
The Seattle Kraken are a professional ice hockey team based in Seattle. The Kraken compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Pacific Division in the Western Conference and began play during the league’s 2021–22 season. They play their home games at Climate Pledge Arena.
Seattle Pride Hockey League, home of Play with Purpose. This league debuted in April 2024 with four teams and nearly 80 players. It currently plays in the spring/summer seasons with ambitions to grow to a year-round league in the near future.
This recreational league divides its 120+ teams across divisions 1-10 and sub-divisions A-D based on skill level. It boasts teams who have been playing for 20+ years and is equally excited to welcome new players of all skill levels.
The Sno-King Adult Hockey League (SKAHL) is a semi-competitive, USA Hockey-sanctioned recreational league for players 18 and older and exists to foster a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for adult hockey players of all skill levels. We aim to build “players for life” through a strong hockey community, sportsmanship, and skill development.
The SKAHL is a “Captains’ League,” and requires active involvement from team Captains, individual players, and all participants to build, maintain, and improve the League and the Sno-King Adult Hockey community.
The RHL currently has 21 teams among six divisions: Cooper, Bronze A, Bronze B, Silver A and Silver B.
RHL
Ages 16+, level-based team games. Hockey leagues run Fall/Winter (24 weeks), and Spring (12 weeks).
While it has gone through a few names, Three Rivers Adult Hockey League was started in the late 1980s soon after the Tri-City Americans started playing here by some local adults that wanted to play hockey. It has grown since then to what it is today.
www.pridetape.com
Pride Tape is a badge of support from teammates, coaches, parents and pros to young LGBTQ+ players. It shows every player that they belong playing the sports they love. That we’re all on the same team. Your support for Pride Tape allows us to donate tape to community groups and amateur teams and leagues. Proceeds from the sale of Pride Tape also helps to support LGBTQ+ youth outreach and educational initiatives. That means every roll of tape will make an impact in sports and beyond. We proudly support the National Hockey League (NHL), the Premier Lacrosse League, NCAA PAC-12 Softball, BaseballSoftballUK, and Major and Minor League Baseball’s mission to drive positive social change and foster more inclusive communities. By participating in the NHL’s ‘Hockey is for Everyone’ month, plus creating baseball’s Strike Out Hate campaign, our collective goal is to make sport, at all levels, a more welcoming and inclusive environment for players, their families and fans of every race, colour, age, ability, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status.

The reason I decided to create hockeyhow.com is to share my knowledge and passion for hockey with the world. If I can answer even one person’s question or teach them something new about this wonderful game, I have done my job.
Another reason I created the site is to help people get into the sport of hockey. It can be an intimidating sport to get into, as there are plenty of rules to understand and pieces of gear to buy. My aim is to help provide a one-stop-shop for all of your hockey-related needs.
I am to be a resource you can trust not only for honesty, but also for high-quality content that is entertaining, informative, and educational.
