TEAM SEATTLE

Seattle Pride Hockey Association hosts a traveling team — humbly named ‘Team Seattle’ — across a variety of team-based tournaments. If you are interested in the opportunity to travel with Team Seattle, drop your information below and we’ll be in touch when there is an opening. We try to travel a few times per calendar year to some of the team-based tournaments listed in our Tournament Directory.

Once you register with Team Seattle, you’re officially on the team! Each summer, before the traditional hockey season begins, we send out a poll to all registered Team Seattle players—whether you’ve played before or not—to gauge interest in upcoming tournaments.

The Tournament Selection Process

Assuming there is strong desire to travel to a city, once the tournament dates are announced and registration opens, Team Seattle follows a two-phase process:

  1. Priority Registration: Players who participated in the previous year get the first opportunity to register. (If it’s our first time attending a tournament, registration is open to all Team Seattle players.)

  2. General Registration: After a couple of weeks, if spots are still available, registration opens on a first-come, first-confirmed basis to all remaining Team Seattle players.

Currently, Team Seattle travels to host cities that allow full teams. For cities that host individual, draft-style tournaments – like Seattle Pride Classic – you would simply register as a free agent.

Annual team-based tournaments:

  • January: Las Vegas, Nevada (currently paused)
  • February: Palm Springs, California
  • March/April: Calgary, Alberta (TBD, flipped to draft-style for 2025)
  • May: New York City, New York
  • August: Chicago, Illinois (held every ~2-3 years)
  • September: Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota
  • October: Toronto, Ontario
